Calling the Multple Pattern Criterion function generates the following form.

The drop-down list contains those patterns lists that you have already created and registered. For ease of recognition, pattern lists are classified both generically and specifically. Note that the individual pattern lists are classed as either 'ACBA WebLog' or 'Birds'.

The classification process is controlled by the user. The process can make identifying the particular search criteria that you wish to use much qucker when faced with a long list.

Remarks

This function is dependant on the user having already created a list of search criteria to use as the basis for analysing a primary list of strings. The creation of such search criteria is discussed at Managing String Series.
