Order within DropDown List

When the analysis lists are presented for use, they are grouped together by

See below

The order of the category classification is strictly alphabetical, but the list creator can have direct control over the order in which the individual list within a category appear. (There is an exception when creating/registering a brand new list of search criteria - see below.)

Each list has its own complementary worksheet (with the suffix '-ListPat' in its name) that specifiies the name of the list that appears in the drop down menu list (see above) and its generic category. The order of these sheets as they exist in the workbook, determines the order in which they appear in the drop down list in the user form above.

The list creator can set the order as he hides both the pattern list and its associated control sheet from view.

This has the effect of moving the appearance of the pattern list to the appropriate position within the generic series.

Initial Registration

The main exception to this ordering processs occurs when you create and register the list of patterns for the first time.

In this case, where you have a series of patterns associated with the same generic group, your new list will be automatcially register as the last in the group even though you may have posted the '-ListPat' sheet some where else in the series - see above.

The standard work around for this situation is to delete the whole generic group by its source value and then add it in again as a pre-registered sting series.
